We also have had my good friend Kelly out for a visit from Minnesota for the past 10 days. She just left today and we already miss her. She helped me out so much with babysitting and it was fun to have her here.

The 4th
We had an awesome 4th of July weekend. Jake and Jenny were die hard and saved us a shaded spot on the parade route. It was the first time Chad or I had ever been to it. We also went out on the lake. It didn't go quite as planned. We shut the boat off to pump up the tube and couldn't get it started again. So we sat out there for a few hours and had to get towed back in by Todd. We actually ended up still having a pretty good time. We went to Chilies after we all got cleaned up and didn't even have to wait! Of course after dinner we watched the fireworks and headed home exhausted. We also have had my good friend Kelly out for a visit from Minnesota for the past 10 days. She just left today and we already miss her. She helped me out so much with babysitting and it was fun to have her here.Don't worry Leighton did warm up to her very quickly.

I miss you all tons already!!!
I can't believe how big Leighton is getting, and I haven't been able to meet her yet. And now we're moving across the country. I definitely think you all should plan a trip out to New York soon. That would be so fun!
