Baby Shower II

This past weekend Chad's mom hosted a baby shower for me at her house. Picture overload... sorry!
This is the cute diaper cake that Kay and her sister Jan made for me. It was their first attempt at making one of these and I think they're pros. Rachel brought over a cake to share with everyone. Chad is still saying it's the best cake he's eaten. Pretty impressive!
Chad and I are so lucky to have so many family and friends that love and support us. I think there are still plenty of people that can't believe we're going to be parents in hopefully less than 2 weeks. We can't hardly believe it either.
This little baby is stocked in the clothes department. It's all so cute!!

I can't find the picture but it was especially fun to have my mom, grandma, aunts, and cousins come up for the weekend. I haven't been able to make a decision about a stroller or car seat and we got all of that figured out. We also got the babies room organized for the most part which helped with my stress level.
I hope my next post is announcing that baby girl Ashby is here!

Surprise Party

I work with some of the sweetest people. Today for lunch I walked into a surprise baby shower that was being held for me, Steph, and Linds. We had a potluck potato bar, played some games, and of course opened presents. We are all due to have our first babies between the end of January through the end of March. It was so thoughtful and nice and everyone was so generous.
This picture is in the order that we are due. I'm quickly approaching my due date of Jan 29th. It's been so fun to go through our pregnancies together. We're all seeing the same doctor and have had fun comparing all the pregnancy obstacles.

Merry Christmas/Happy New Year

Christmas at home with my parents is the best! It was so nice to get out of the snow and enjoy the sunshine. I think this is the first Christmas since I was probably 10 years old that I was actually the one to get everyone out of bed. Pregnancy has made it so I can't sleep anymore. I started eating breakfast and woke everyone up at 5:30am.Chad always has the best bed head.
My dad opening some new clothes...his favorite thing to get I'm sure.
This is after we went back to sleep and had chance to clean up a little bit.
It is dog city at my grandmas when everyone gets together. My mom and dads dog Bubba isn't in this pic because he wouldn't cooperate, but usually there is 5 of these little guys running around.
I think all of these girls live up North by me but it's still fun to go out to eat when we're all home for the Holidays. If you look close you can see the war wound Chad got at Golds Gym. He was playing basketball and got his eye about gouged out.
Heather and Jess were ambitious and hosted a little New Years party at their house. We ate some awesome fondue and played games. It was a really fun night and a great way to bring in the New Year.
This is Heather and her cute little guy Calvin who was born in November. I thought this pic was so cute because you can tell my flash scared the heck out of him.
This post got a little long but we hope everyone had a great New Years and has a fantastic 2009!
