Guess What?!?!

Some of you may already know, but Chad and I are expecting a baby! It's (I'll keep the suspense going) due Jan. 29th. We've been keeping it pretty tight lipped but it has slipped out to a few people. While I was at work yesterday some of the girls talked me into setting an appointment to find out our babies gender. My actual appointment with the Dr. is in 2 weeks, but honestly I couldn't wait! The place was so nice and actually got me in that night. I told Chad I was working late and went with my friend Terri to find out. We've originally been thinking boy, but these last few weeks I haven't been as sure. I bought the first outfit I could find that would give it away to Chad.
Hopefully from this picture you can tell that we are going to be the proud parents of a baby GIRL! We're totally excited and Chad couldn't wipe the smile off his face all night! He's going to be such a good daddy! She'll be the first baby girl for both sets of grandparents and I think that means she is going to be spoiled! This whole parent thing is going to be crazy but I think we're finally ready!

Outdoor Retail Show 08

This past week my mom and dad came up for the Outdoor Retail Show. One of my dads responsibilities for his job is to attend this show twice a year. They hold it in SLC at the Salt Palace and this year it even overflowed to the Energy Solutions Arena. It's a highlight for Chad and I because we're able to tag along with him. The reason we like going so much is because you can get so much free stuff! A lot of it is kind of junk but we do usually end up getting some things that we're pretty excited about. We also ended up taking Cooper with us on our last day. Everyone but me was pretty nervous because they didn't know how big of a pain he was going to be. It ended up being sooo much fun having him there. We honestly got stopped every 10 feet so that people could stop and talk to him. Cooper was in heaven!

This is a picture of our loot. We got quite a few waterbottles, some underarmour shirts, flip flops, hiking socks, dog leash, and lot's of other random things.

We also had a farewell party for our fellow ward members and good friends Ryan and Megan Hayes. He is headed off to medical school back east. Since we moved into the ward Ryan and Megan have always included us and made us feel very welcome. We're going to miss having them around but know they are off to bigger and better things. Luckily we'll be able to keep in touch through Blogging!
