24th

On Monday night we went to the SF rodeo which is kind of tradition in Chad's family.  The kids always have a great time and so do I.  On the 24th we wanted to stay home and get some of our house projects done.  We have been working on repainting Leighton's bedroom set and finishing our garage.  Our neighbors sent me a text saying they had bought tons of fireworks so to plan on a show once it got dark.  Everyone on our street is brand new to the neighborhood so I went around and knocked on doors inviting people to come up.  We ended up with a good crowd and it was a great and relaxed way for us to meet everyone.  The fireworks ended up being the most exciting and probably scary ones that I've ever been involved with.  Because we are on a newly developed street most people done have their yards done and some of the houses have a yard full of weeds.  We happened to be in the street between two of those houses.  I think by the time the night was over we had put out 12 fires.  The Gragg's were smart enough to bring out a fire extinguisher so none of them got crazy out of control but it still gets your adrenaline pumping.  One of the bigger fireworks that got set off ended up tipping over and was shooting fireballs everywhere.  Once I saw what was happening I grabbed the baby and Leighton and took off running to the garage and we ended up just getting missed.  Scared the crap out of me and Leighton.  Chad and Schaeff were standing at the end of the road talking and watched the whole thing happen.  By the time the night was over we all felt like we had bonded and now we have a story to tell.  So thankful for Utah's pioneer heritage.  We are so in debt to them for all of the sacrifices they made.

Leighton's Tooth

Some of this little girls friends had started to lose their teeth.  She was wondering when it was going to happen to her.  We were walking through Lowe's shopping for knobs for our kitchen cupboards and I told her to open her mouth.  I went through and wiggled her teeth and Surprise! we found a loose one.  She was so excited she gave me a big hug and had a huge smile.  The tooth hung around in her mouth loose for about 2 weeks and finally on Saturday morning it fell out!!  She was eating her cereal and almost swallowed it.  She came  upstairs squealing with excitement.  That night we put it under her pillow and the next morning she woke up with her very own $2 bill.  So fun to experience all of these firsts with her.

10 Months

This little guy is a dream baby!  I really can't believe he is almost a year.  He is so happy almost all of the time.  It took him a little longer than my other kids to sleep through the night but now that he does it is amazing.  He likes his naps and always wakes up ridiculously happy.  He says mama all day long.  His brother and especially his sister are in love with him.  He is so happy go lucky and just goes along with whatever they are dishing out to him.  He thinks bath time is the best.  He will just sit in there and splash away till I take him out.  I think he is my chubbiest baby and I love that.  His little legs and bum are so  squishy and cute and I want to squeeze them all day.  He has great hair that is getting blonder as the summer goes on.  He loves anyone that wants to hold him and give him attention.  He will wave and give his big toothy smile.  I could go on and on but we are just enjoying having this little guy around!

I think these two look so much alike.  Especially in this picture.

No training wheels!!

Everytime we've been to St. George the past few months grandpa and grandma make Leighton get out on the big bike without any training wheels and practoce riding it.  While we were down there for a week she finally got brave enough to just go for it!  Grandpa was a great coach!!

4th of July Weekend

We have been homeless since the 29th of June but we got word we close on our house this Monday.  Leighton discovered Guess Who in the game closet and she talked my dad into playing it with her.
David and grandma set up an awesome firework show for us on the 3rd.  The kids were really entertained and not scared a bit.

We watched the fireworks at Dixie College.

9 months old and as handsome as ever.  We all just love and adore him.

We finally made it to the Children's Museum.  It was so cute and fun.  I wish we had one closer to our home.

This silly boy wouldn't wear his wrist band so the office told us we needed to put it on the back of his shirt.

The kids loved swimming in the blow up pool out back.

Biggest swim diaper I have ever seen!
This kid is so much more relaxed than my other two in the water.
